An Informal Book Club

An Informal Book Club
By Ciara N. Mealer
often hear that people are interested in joining a book club but never do for one reason or another. They just can’t seem to find the time; they don’t know where to look or how to get started; they may even be a bit shy and feel awkward about joining a group. This year I’ve decided to share with you an informal and unconventional idea that was born from hearing all of these excuses and more. This takes the idea of a book club and allows you to participate as little or as much as you’d like from wherever you are.
This idea was born last year when my best friend and I decided to have our own two-person book club and read one classic written by a female author each month. I shared the idea and reading list with several people and it turned out to be very popular. This year, we chose to go with a classic mystery novel theme. I hope you will join in and enjoy.
