I love discovering new authors. As a reader, it is one of my favorite things to come across a fresh voice in the world of storytelling. Yet, with thousands of books published each year (pro tip: new releases come out almost exclusively on Tuesdays) it can be a bit daunting to choose which new author to try. With that in mind I’ve compiled this list of some of the debut titles I’m most excited to crack open this year. From dystopian futures and parallel universes, to historical fiction and modern thrillers, this list has something to please every reader.
